Terms of Service


1. Who may use MirrorOS

You must be at least 13 years old to use MirrorOS. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. You represent that you can form a binding contract with us and that you will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

2. Service description

MirrorOS provides informational probability estimates based on user-provided Inputs. Outputs are estimates only and are not promises of results.

3. Not medical, financial, or legal advice

MirrorOS is for informational purposes only. It does not provide medical care or diagnostics, nutrition or weight loss treatment, financial or investment advice, or legal advice. Do not rely on the service to make decisions that could affect your health, finances, or legal rights. If you need professional advice, consult a qualified professional.

4. Your license to use MirrorOS

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use the app and website for personal, noncommercial purposes.

5. Your content

You are responsible for the Inputs you submit. You grant MirrorOS a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, process, and display your Inputs and Outputs as needed to provide and improve the service. Do not submit personal information of others without their permission.

6. Acceptable use

  • No unlawful, harmful, or deceptive activity.
  • No attempts to reverse engineer, access without authorization, or disrupt the service.
  • No automated scraping or rate abuse.
  • No attempts to use Outputs to create misinformation or to harm others.

7. Beta features

Some features may be released as beta. Beta features may be incomplete or change quickly. You understand that beta features may be less reliable than other features.

8. Changes to the service

We may modify or discontinue parts of the service at any time. Where reasonable, we will try to give notice.

9. Third party services

MirrorOS may integrate with third party services that have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third party services.

10. Fees and payments

If we offer paid plans or in-app purchases, additional terms will apply. Prices and features may change. Taxes may apply.

11. Ownership

MirrorOS and all associated content, trademarks, logos, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the license granted to you, we retain all rights.

12. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them without compensation to you.

13. Disclaimers

MirrorOS is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MirrorOS and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will not exceed one hundred dollars USD.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MirrorOS and our affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute that is not subject to arbitration will be the state and federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.

17. Dispute resolution and arbitration

For users in the United States, you and MirrorOS agree to resolve any disputes through binding arbitration on an individual basis, and not as a class action, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify. You may opt out of this arbitration clause by emailing support@mirroros.app within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

18. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we believe your use poses risk to us or others.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice.

MirrorOS provides research-grounded probability estimates for informational purposes. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use MirrorOS.

Summary

  • We collect the text you enter into the app, basic device and usage information, and optional diagnostic data.
  • We use your data to operate the service, generate predictions, secure the platform, and improve quality.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Inputs. Questions you ask and the context you provide, such as age, goals, experience, location details you choose to type, and other free text.
  • Account and contact information if you create an account or join a waitlist, such as name, email, and preferences.
  • Feedback sent through TestFlight or in-app channels.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage. Device model, OS version, app version, language, approximate region, and in-app interactions.
  • Log data. IP address, timestamps, request identifiers, crash reports, and performance metrics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies on our website for basic analytics and to remember preferences.

How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve MirrorOS, including generating probability estimates and confidence intervals.
  • Process and analyze Inputs to detect unsafe or prohibited use and to tune quality and reliability.
  • Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support.
  • Protect against abuse, fraud, and misuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
  • Research and develop new features. When feasible, we use de-identified or aggregated data.

How We Share Information

  • Service providers that host infrastructure, store logs, provide analytics, and help us deliver the app. They process data on our instructions and under contract.
  • Legal and safety if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
  • Business transfers in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of company assets.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Access, correction, deletion. You may request a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or delete it by emailing support@mirroros.app.
  • Opt out of marketing. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time via an unsubscribe link.
  • Do Not Track. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals.

Legal Bases for Processing

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal bases include performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where applicable.

International Transfers

We are based in the United States. If you use MirrorOS from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries with different data protection laws.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify information.

Children

MirrorOS is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it.

Automated Decision Making

MirrorOS produces probabilistic outputs using automated processing based on the Inputs you provide. These outputs are informational and are not legally or financially binding decisions.

California Privacy Disclosures

We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. California residents may request access or deletion of personal information by emailing support@mirroros.app.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated effective date and will be posted on this page.
